Give your child the gift of a Montessori beginning 🌱

This all culminated on April 22nd with our 1st Ever Community Service Day!
To celebrate Earth Day, PEHS/MS teamed up with the Village of Palmyra, Palmyra Montessori School, and Palmyra United Methodist Church to give back to the community we love.
Here’s how our Panthers made a difference:
Off-Campus: Teams cleaned up several local parks, spruced up downtown gardens, and cleared trash around Blue Spring Lake.
On-Campus: Students worked hard to make the school entrance shine and cleaned up our athletic fields.
Inside the Walls: The hallways were filled with music and laughter as volunteers scrubbed lockers, washed windows, and polished the gym.
It was an incredible display of community spirit. Our students deserve a huge pat on the back for their hard work and dedication! We hope these "seeds of kindness" continue to grow, encouraging our Panthers to volunteer and lead wherever life takes them next.
Way to go, Panthers! 🐾

Dear Palmyra Eagle Area School District,
We are writing to ensure you are aware that the National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Waukesha, Walworth, and Jefferson County, effective until 8:00 PM tonight.
While a "watch" simply means that conditions are favorable for severe weather to develop, we want to ensure our families are prepared as you head into your evening routines. Please note the following:
After-School Activities: ALL District activities scheduled for this afternoon and evening will be rescheduled. Please check with your specific sport, club or coach for updates.
Stay Informed: We encourage you to monitor local weather channels or a NOAA Weather Radio throughout the evening.
Safety First: This is a great time to review your family’s severe weather plan and identify your "safe spot" at home.
The safety of our students and families is always our top priority. Please stay safe and weather-aware tonight!
Sincerely,
Dr. Liz Kayzar, Mr. Josh Kerr and Mr. Joel Tortomasi

Let’s make this the best year yet for our student-athletes. See you on the green!

Thank you does not say enough! I am super proud of this community and EES!
You guys made a HUGE difference in the lives of people with heart disease!
Not only did we reach our monetary goal ($7,500) by raising $9,000 for KHC, but we also set a new EES record, breaking the previous high set back in 2001 ($6,500)!
We also reached our goal of 108 registrations (115), meaning that EES has earned a school-wide "Paw"jama day, and earned Mr. P a $250 to US Games for equipment!
We reached our goal of 36 students completing Finn's mission (39), which puts EES in a drawing to hopefully win a $10,000 recess/gym makeover. Fingers crossed our school gets picked!
We also have several teachers who earned $25 gift cards for their classrooms: Mrs. Muth (5 students completing Finns Mission), Mrs. Nettesheim (75% of class registered), Mrs. Sherman (75% of class registered)!
We also had 2 All-Star students who raised over $1000 each! They will be getting their name on the gym wall for all time!
With all of the money raised and goals earned, KHC will be awarding Mr. P $1,150 to US Games for PE Equipment!
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!

This day, celebrated on March 21st, aims to raise awareness and promote understanding of Down syndrome.
The "Rock Your Socks" Connection:
The tradition of wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks on this day is a fun and symbolic way to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.
Symbolism:
The 21st day of the 3rd month (March) signifies the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which is characteristic of Down syndrome.
How to Participate:
You can participate by wearing your most colorful and mismatched socks on March 21st to show your support and raise awareness.

Following a regional coordination call and updated data from the National Weather Service as of 3:00 PM today, our area has been upgraded to a Winter Weather Warning.
Projections indicate treacherous conditions this evening and into tomorrow afternoon, including heavy snow, ice, and wind gusts of 40–45 mph. Consequently, all schools in the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District will be closed on Monday, March 16.
Closure Details:
K-12 Schools: All buildings closed.
Early Learning Center: Closed.
Activities: All evening programs, athletic practices, and community events are canceled.
We understand that school closures create logistical challenges and childcare difficulties for our families; however, this decision was made in collaboration with regional school districts and emergency officials to ensure safety for students and staff.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these changing weather factors. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday, March 17.
Stay safe,
Palmyra-Eagle Area School District
