Amended Notice of 2026 School Board Election

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the undersigned School District Clerk of the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District  will hold a meeting on January 8, 2026, at 4:00pm in the District Office located at 123 Burr Oak Street, Palmyra WI  53156 for the purpose of verifying the declarations of candidacy submitted for the School Board Election to be held on April 7, 2026. 

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that, immediately following the verification, an official Board member will supervise the drawing of lots to determine the order of the candidates’ names as they will appear on the election ballot. 

A quorum of the School Board Members may be present, however, no Board action will be taken.

Declaration of Non-Candidacy

The following incumbent school board members whose term of office expires in April 2026 and whose seat will be contested at the 2026 Spring Election have filed a Notification of Non Candidacy, as provided under section 120.06(6)(b)3 of the state statutes:

By filing the notification of Non Candidacy, the incumbent(s) listed above have given advance notice that they do not presently intend to be a candidate for reelection to their school board office. 

Except as otherwise provided under state law, a qualified elector of the School District who wishes to become a candidate and have their name appear on the election ballot for any of the school board seats that will be contested at the 2026 Spring Election Candidates must file all necessary forms at the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District Office - 123 Burr Oak St, Palmyra, WI (Door #7) no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

Giving Public Notice of Incumbent Noncandidacy Decisions under Section 120.06(6)(b)3m of the Wisconsin Statutes

Notification of Noncandidacy - This form is for incumbents to complete if they do not want to run for another term. This form is due by Friday, December 26, 2025 by 5:00pm.

Each of the following forms must be completed and filed no later than 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. in order for the candidate’s name to be placed on the ballot for the February 17, 2026 Spring Primary (if Primary is needed) and the April 7, 2026 Spring Election. The filing officer for School District offices is the School District Clerk. Candidates should contact their filing officer for further information or to obtain any of the necessary forms.
