UPCOMING PANTHER SPORTS - FEBRUARY 7TH Tonight, the Panthers boys' basketball teams will travel to Abundant Life and face the Challengers in a highly anticipated rematch between two of the top teams in the Trailways Conference! Both games are scheduled to start a little later than usual, with the JV game starting at 6:00pm and the varsity at 7:30pm. Last time these two teams squared off at the Duane Wilde Court, the Challengers got the best of the Panthers 48-32. However, the game was closer than the final score suggests and it was a battle for both teams. Coming off a win against Williams Bay, the Panthers will look to secure a big-time win tonight. We hope to see everyone who can make it to the game come out and support the boys' program! A note for everyone who does travel to see the game - all fans and team personnel will have to pass through a security scanner similar to what is seen at the Fiserv Forum or Kohl Center. For anyone who cannot make it, the game will also be live streamed FREE by Abundant Life. The link to the stream can be found below. PANTHER BASKETBALL 1,000 POINT SCORERS It has been a big past few weeks for our Panther basketball teams, as we have had 2 student-athletes reach an amazing milestone of 1,000 POINTS! First, Teagan Koutsky became just the third girl to ever hit the 1,000-point mark in Palmyra-Eagle history against Deerfield on January 10th. Then, Devin Patrick hit the mark last night against Williams Bay, becoming just the 2nd player in PE boys basketball history to do it. He also broke the boys' school rebound record from 1972 against Dodgeland last week. Both players have been amazing athletes at Palmyra-Eagle, and will now forever sit in the record books as two of the greatest in school history! However, the history-making isn't done, as Devin Patrick is inching closer to the all-time points record, which stands at 1,023, set in 1984. Both players have also led their teams to winning records this season, and we can't wait to see how both squads do the rest of the year! FANTASTIC WORK DEVIN AND TEAGAN!
