UPCOMING PANTHER SPORTS - MARCH 7TH!!! Tonight, the Panther Boys' Basketball team takes on the Princeton/Green Lake Tigersharks in the regional semifinal round of the WIAA Playoffs! The Varsity team will be in action at home looking to keep their season alive at 7:00pm tonight. On Tuesday, the Panthers beat Catholic Central 76-61 in a physical back and forth battle, and will now take on the Tigersharks. The Tigersharks pulled a 13 seed over 4 seed upset versus Chesterton Academy. Palmyra-Eagle and Princeton/Green Lake have many common opponents from the regular season, but the two squads have yet to face off in a head to head. We hope to see everyone at the Duane Wilde Court tonight to support our boys! Come loud and ready to cheer to give us a HUGE playoff atmosphere. Students in Ms. Strehlow's Cultures and Foods of the World class just finished their France unit. Students learned about some of the history, geography, names and classics of French cuisine. Topics studied include regulations on food and beverages, measuring the nutritional value foods, labeling and cross-cultural comparisons of the use of GMOs in our food and beverage sources. In the kitchen, our focus is on communication, teamwork, planning and preparation. Looking forward to our next unit: Southeast Asia!

FREE PARENT/COMMUNITY EVENT - DRUG PREVENTION FOR STUDENTS Attention PEASD parents and community members: join us on Wednesday, March 19th at 5:00pm in the Palmyra-Eagle Middle School Gym for a free parent/community event focused on drug prevention for students. The event, titled "Party Talk for Parents", will discuss drug trends to look out for, the role of parents in prevention, how to build trust with your kids, warning signs of drug use, and how to talk with your teens. This informational session is meant to build strategies to support your students! Snacks will also be provided. We hope to see everyone there!

UPCOMING PANTHER SPORTS - FEBRUARY 28TH Tonight, the Panthers girls' basketball team takes on the Wayland Academy Big Red in the next round of the WIAA Regional Playoffs! The varsity team will be in action looking to keep their season alive at 7:00pm tonight. On Tuesday, the Panthers beat Juda in a 75-55 rout in their first playoff game, and will now take on the Big Red, who pulled a 12-5 upset over Catholic Central. Palmyra-Eagle and Wayland Academy faced each other earlier this month, and the Big Red won over the Panthers by 2. We hope to see everyone at the Duane Wilde Court tonight to support our girls! UPCOMING PANTHER SPORTS - FEBRUARY 27TH Tonight, the Panthers boys' basketball teams will close out their regular season at home against the Deerfield Demons! The Panthers will be looking to lock up 3rd place in the Trailways South Conference over the Parkview Vikings tonight, which they can do with a win or a Parkview loss. The JV game is slated to start at 5:45pm, while the varsity game begins at 7:15pm. As for the WIAA Regionals, the Panthers are the 5 seed and will face Catholic Central on Tuesday, March 4th. Aside from the conference position, Palmyra-Eagle will also be playing to gain some momentum into the playoffs, and break their 2-game losing streak. PEHS/MS DONATION DRIVE Help people in need by donating to the Palmyra-Eagle High School/Middle School Donation Drive! The event starts today, February 26th, and will run until March 21st. We are looking for gently used clothing and Panther gear, personal hygiene products (deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo), and personal care items. UPCOMING PANTHER SPORTS - FEBRUARY 25TH Tonight, the Panthers girls' varsity basketball team is back at home for WIAA Regional action! The team will host the Juda Panthers at the Duane Wilde Court, with the game scheduled to start at 7:00pm. Juda finished the regular season at 4-19, with their last win coming on February 17th against Williams Bay. Palmyra-Eagle wrapped up their regular season with a .500 record of 12-12, last winning against Salam on February 15th. The two schools are looking forward to a great first-round matchup in a battle of the Panthers! We hope to see everyone out tonight to support the girls in this big-time playoff matchup! PANTHERS WRESTLING TEAM COMPETES IN SECTIONALS Shout-out to our Panther Varsity Wrestling team for their effort at Sectionals on Saturday, February 22nd! 🏅 Casey fought hard, winning his first match, but after a loss in the second and a bye in the third, he ended up our only wrestler making it to the finals and ultimately losing in the third-place match. Kyler fought with everything he had in his first match, showing heart and determination from start to finish. Though things didn't go his way, it's clear he's got the grit to keep pushing forward. Zane lost his first match and was eliminated early, but his determination is something we’re all proud of. Dylan won his first match, fought hard in the second, and had one last shot in a wrestle back but came up short. While it wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, each of these athletes put their heart into the competition, and we know they’ll keep pushing forward. Proud of you all, Panthers! 💪🤼‍♂️ Lastly, a huge final goodbye to our senior Dylan as he moves on to the next chapter of his life. We’re grateful for everything you’ve given to this team, and we wish you nothing but success in whatever comes next. You'll always have a home with the Panthers! 💜 GREAT SEASON, PANTHERS!

The JV game is set to begin at 5:45pm, while the varsity game is scheduled to start at 7:15pm. It is also SENIOR NIGHT at the Duane Wilde Court, so come ready to honor our senior players before the game! This past Tuesday, the Panthers varsity team took down the Parkview Vikings in overtime, 57-51. This key win means the Panthers are one game away from locking up 3rd place in the conference, and they can accomplish that goal tonight! Last time these two teams faced off, the Blue Jays got the best of the Panthers, 55-48. Tonight, Palmyra-Eagle will be looking for a different result at home.
