UPDATE- Soaring to New Heights: Aviation Adventures in the Classroom! Dear Palmyra-Eagle Community, I hope this newsletter finds you well and ready for an exciting update from our Career Technical Education Dept! We've been on quite the adventure lately, and I'm thrilled to share the highlights of our recent aviation-themed learning experiences. Virtual Flight Simulator Success Our students have been absolutely captivated by our new flight simulator program! They've discovered that using the Flight map makes navigating to their next destination much easier. It's been wonderful to see their problem-solving skills and spatial awareness improve as they plot courses across the globe. Pacific Ocean Pit Stop One of the most exciting moments came when our young pilots crossed the Pacific Ocean. Imagine their surprise and delight when they spotted a USA Aircraft Carrier and successfully landed to refuel! This unexpected challenge taught them about the importance of planning and adaptability in aviation. Discovering Palmyra Airport In a thrilling turn of events, our students located their very own Palmyra Airport for landing! This discovery led to discussions about lesser-known airfields and the vital role they play in global aviation networks. Sparking Interest in Aviation Careers These engaging activities have ignited a genuine interest in aviation careers among our students. We're excited to nurture this enthusiasm and are planning future lessons that explore various aviation-related professions. Thank you for your Support!

Art students traveled to Williams Bay for the Trailways All Art Conference. It was a great show full of amazing works from several schools in our region. PEASD was well represented at the All Art Conference. A special shout out to Alayna K.S and Mono G. both took home a 3rd place ribbon in their media category. GREAT WORK!

First and foremost, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Students In Aviation (SIA) for their extraordinary generosity. The Palmyra Eagle School District of Wisconsin is overjoyed to announce that we will soon be receiving a state-of-the-art Flight Simulator, courtesy of SIA! Elevating Our STEM Program This magnificent donation will revolutionize our STEM classrooms, providing our students with: - Hands-on experience in aviation technology - Cost-effective skill-building opportunities - Increased confidence in potential aviation learners - Dynamic and engaging ways to explore flight principles Preparing for Takeoff As we eagerly await the arrival of our new Flight Simulator, here's what you can expect: 1. Enhanced STEM curriculum focusing on aviation 2. Exciting projects integrating flight simulation 3. Potential guest speakers from the aviation industry 4. We are proud to announce and share registration information for the Palmyra-Eagle Summer Sports Academy. The Academy will take place during June and July and is a part of the District Wide Summer School program on Monday through Thursdays comprising 2 three week sessions. The Academy is for students entering grades 2 through 12. Middle and High School opportunities will be in the mornings and focus on weight training, sports skills, speed & agility. Opportunities for elementary aged students will take place in the afternoons following Summer School at Eagle Elementary. These skills focused classes will be structured in a way similar to regular sports practices. Please utilize the QR code in the flyer or attached links for much more information and specifics. Palmyra - Eagle has a State Champion in our District! Arden Hyatt 67.5kg State Champion, Best Overall Raw Lifter-Runner Up and broke 2 State Meet Records and John Burrill 3rd place podium finish in the 125kg weight class. What a great achievement! Congratulations Powerlifting Team!

Haley W was the Palmyra-Eagle representative of The Fort Atkinson-Eli Pierce Chapter DAR Good Citizen. The Chapter honors an outstanding young person in the senior class who demonstrates the qualities of a good citizen, as well as provides an optional opportunity for this student to participate in the scholarship portion of the program. CONGRATULATIONS HALEY!
