Why PEASD: "I graduated from UW Whitewater in the spring after completing my student teaching at Eagle Elementary. From the beginning, Eagle was the most welcoming and supportive environment. I am excited to be part of this collaborative community and start my career as an educator.”
Favorite Part of Teaching/Leading: “I have always loved being able to be a support system for students. There is something so rewarding about giving students the encouragement to face challenges they didn’t think they could accomplish, and seeing them succeed.”
Outside of School: "During my summers you can find me coaching tennis lessons in Waukesha! I also love spending time with my family at Brewers games, doing crafts, and baking cookies.”
Fun Fact: “One fun fact about me is that I love Disney World! I have been there 8 times and am always looking forward to my next trip.”

August kicks off an incredibly exciting month for Palmyra-Eagle Powerlifting!
This weekend, Senior, Bailey LeRoy is heading to St. John’s, Canada and will represent Team USA at the 23rd Annual NAPF North American Women’s Classic Regional Powerlifting Championships on August 4th competing in the 57kg Sub-Junior weight class.
Bailey earned the opportunity to compete on the international stage after placing first in her weight class at Powerlifting America High School Nationals in Omaha, NE in April.
I’ve had the privilege of watching Bailey grow, both as an athlete and as a person. It’s been fun to see all of the opportunities she’s had this summer that have come from the work she has put in over the years in everything she does!
Good luck, Bailey! Your Palmyra-Eagle family will be cheering you on from home. 💜🐾

Favorite Part of Teaching/Leading: “I enjoy celebrating student and staff successes. My highest priority is to partner with staff for creating environments with appropriate resources for effectively meeting student needs.”
Outside of School: "When I’m not at school, you can often find me at a performing arts event featuring one or more of my kids. My wife and I now have three adult children and a revolving door for having them home.”

Why PEASD: "I am thrilled to join the Palmyra-Eagle School District as Principal of Palmyra Montessori School for the upcoming school year! I am excited to join the amazing team at Palmyra Montessori School and be a part of the next chapter with this growing and thriving school.
Favorite Part of Teaching/Leading: Having served previously as a Principal, Director of Student Services, Instructional Coach, and Special Education Teacher, I am committed to supporting staff, collaborating with families and community partners, and ensuring every child receives an outstanding education.
Outside of School: "When I am not at school, you can find me spending time with my family. My fiance and I have two dogs and two cats. We often are found attending sporting events and concerts or trying out new recipes.
Fun Fact: When I was in college at UW-Madison, I played tuba in the marching band and attended three Rose Bowls! My love for music continues to play an essential role in my life to this day."

Why PEASD: “I have spent the last 13 years teaching in West Allis and those experiences have really shaped my career. I am so looking forward to working in a small community. I look forward to building relationships within the school community and the outside community. I am excited to be a part of Palmyra-Eagle School District.”
Favorite Part of Teaching/Leading: “I love working with all students of all ages and abilities. My favorite part of working with students is being able to see their growth over the school year. I love celebrating the small moments and the big moments. I also love making long lasting relationships with my students and their families.”
Outside of School: "When I am not at school, you can find me spending time with my family. I have a two year old son, and we love doing everything together. We love to spend our summers together up north at our cabin.”
Fun Fact: "One fun fact about me is that having a baby has made me a morning person. I get up crazy early and enjoy the quiet of the morning before my chaotic day starts!”

Chop, simmer, repeat! 🥢
Students in the Palmyra-Eagle Summer School Culture Camp wrapped up the final days of summer school with a delicious culinary adventure.
On Wednesday, the young chefs built their skills from scratch. They handled all the prep work by chopping fresh vegetables and mixing savory sauces.
On Thursday, they brought it all together by cooking up a feast of homemade pork dumplings and lo mein stir-fry. It was the perfect, flavorful finale to an amazing summer of learning.
Mr. T can certify that it was truly delicious and full of healthy veggies as the students were kind enough to make him a plate that he thoroughly enjoyed during lunch with all the students!

With high temperatures and extreme heat forecast for the early part of this week, we want to ensure all village/town residents have a safe, comfortable place to escape the weather.
In coordination with the Palmyra Police Department and in partnership with the Palmyra Fire Department, the Palmyra Community Room will be open as an official daytime "cool down" space Tuesday-Thursday this week.
Location: Palmyra Community Center/Palmyra-Eagle High/Middle School
Hours: Tuesday, July 14th: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
Wednesday, July 15th: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
Thursday, July 16th: 1:00pm - 7:00pm
If you or someone you know lacks adequate air conditioning at home, please feel free to come to the community center to rest, hydrate, and stay safe out of the sun.
We want to extend a huge thank you to our local first responders at the Palmyra PD and Fire Department for checking in on our neighborhood needs and coordinating this space.
Please check in on your elderly neighbors, family members, and pets over the next few days.

Dancing Through the Summer!
Our Palmyra-Eagle Summer School Elementary Dance Academy is officially in full swing!
During the June session of Summer School, 13 energetic students entering 2nd through 5th grade are spending their afternoons diving into the wonderful world of dance. Each week, these talented dancers explore a completely new style through immersive, progressive lessons. At the conclusion of each week the class has a fully choreographed routine which is shared with parents via email for their enjoyment.
We are so proud of their hard work, growth, and creativity as they leap across the genres of Ballet, Hip Hop and Pom.
Stay tuned to see what they learn next.

Palmyra-Eagle Area School District Celebrates Successful Hosting of the Special Olympics Wisconsin
The Palmyra-Eagle Area School District (PEASD) is incredibly proud to announce the successful hosting of this past weekend’s Special Olympics Wisconsin track & field events at Palmyra-Eagle High School. It was a profound honor for our district to serve as the backdrop for such an inspiring display of athleticism and community spirit.
This successful event was a testament to the agility and dedication of our staff and students. After the UW-Whitewater track became unavailable, the Palmyra-Eagle Athletic Director, Kevin Wilde was notified just three weeks before the event was scheduled to take place. Kevin was then able to coordinate with Building and Grounds Director, Bill Lean to get the District grounds ready as well as the Panther Boys Hoops Club and the Boys Basketball Team to get volunteers to work and provide concessions for the event. Despite the short notice, the team successfully pulled together to coordinate track and field access, concessions, and shuttle transportation.
While inclement weather unfortunately led to the cancellation of Friday’s scheduled events, Saturday proved to be a resounding success. The weekend provided a premier opportunity to showcase our beautiful facilities and demonstrate PEASD’s unwavering commitment to serving both our local community and the broader region.
The visiting athletes and organizations expressed deep appreciation for the district’s hospitality.
Highlights of the event included:
Exceptional Amenities: Our facilities and concessions—expertly managed by the PE Boys Basketball Team and support group Panther Boys Hoops Club—received high praise, with visitors noting that the quality of service far surpassed expectations.
Going Above and Beyond: When external contracted transportation services unexpectedly ceased before the event concluded, PEASD’s own Kevin Wilde stepped in without hesitation to provide emergency shuttle services, ensuring stranded athletes were safely transported back to Whitewater.
Mutual Respect: We were moved by the kindness and respect shown by all attendees; notably, the facilities were left in pristine condition, reflecting the high character of the participating groups
The Palmyra-Eagle Area School District extends its deepest gratitude to the Panther Boys Basketball Team players for their incredible hard work. Their dedication to setting up, maintaining the grounds, selling concessions, and cleaning up after the event was essential to making this weekend a "triumph".
“Hosting an event of this caliber is a testament to the value PEASD provides to our community and taxpayers,” said a district representative. “By successfully managing large-scale events like the Special Olympics, we hope to continue attracting regional opportunities that showcase the excellence of our district”.
We look forward to many more opportunities to open our doors to such meaningful organizations in the future.
A day of inspiration and celebration for the Class of 2026! 🎓✨
Our Seniors took a nostalgic trip today, walking through the halls of Eagle Elementary and Palmyra Montessori.
It was truly heartwarming to see the younger students cheering and holding up signs to honor the graduates as they passed through.
Seeing our seniors gathered together in their purple and black gowns reminds us of all the hard work and community spirit that brought them to this milestone.
Congratulations to the entire class of 2026—you make us proud! 💜
