Have Questions About Your Child's Development?

Child Find Notice

Under the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Wisconsin law (Wis. Stat. § 115.77), the Palmyra Eagle School District is responsible for identifying, locating, and evaluating all children with disabilities who reside in our area. This responsibility is known as "Child Find." Child Find requires school districts to identify and evaluate children with disabilities who may need special education and related services, at no cost to families. These services are available for children starting at age three through age 21. If you are a community member with a child between the ages of 2 ½ and 5 years old and have concerns about your child's development, including speech and language, movement, learning, behavior, hearing, or vision, we encourage you to reach out to our district. If you suspect your child has a disability, you can make a referral to the local school district. Referrals should be made in writing and must include your child's name and a description of your concerns. Please contact Eagle Elementary @ (262) 594-2148 or Palmyra-Eagle Montessori @ 262-594-4330 with questions.
