Requirements:

This year the AB Nicholas Scholarship Foundation will offer scholarships to approximately 80 Wisconsin high school graduates based on need, academic achievement and character.

Students who qualify to apply:

  • Athletic Requirements

    You must be participating in your high school’s boys or girls basketball program during this (your senior) year either as a player or a manager.

    Financial Requirements

  • The foundation uses your completed Free Application For Student Aid form (FAFSA) to determine financial need.
  • You may also apply for and receive other financial aid.
  • Educational Requirements

  • You must be a 2024 graduating senior of a Wisconsin high school – public or private.
  • You must attend a University of Wisconsin System school as a full-time student (at least 12 credits), enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year program.
  • To renew your scholarship, you must maintain performance consistent with the original award criteria, including a cumulative grade point average greater than 2.0.
  • Other Requirements

  • You must be a resident of Wisconsin.
  • You will need a unique student ID number for the UW System school(s) you are applying to.
  • Basketball program participant in senior year as a player or manager.
  • You will need a completed FAFSA form on file (Free Application For Student Aid) for your application to be considered.
  • You will need to file an application online during the enrollment period of February 1 – April 30 of your senior year.
  • Not participating in sports at the Division 1 level in college (4-year program only)
Awards:

The annual scholarships -$10,000 for four-year programs and $5,000 for two-year programs-are renewable for the length of the program.

BigSun Scholarships General 6/19/2024 $500
Requirements:

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits.  In order to do our part we are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student.  All student Athletes are eligible regardless of the sport they participate in.  The student must be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute. 

Awards:

$500 - the number of awards will vary each year and this is at the sole discretion of the scholarship award committee.

Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Scholarship General 4/22/2024 3 - $1,000, 2 - $2,000 & 1 - $2,500
Requirements:

The family of Carrie Stuckert has created the Dream Pool Foundation, a non-profit organization, is offering 6 scholarships, one $5,000, two $2,000 and three $1,000 scholarships:

  • Visual Arts Program Major including Art Therapy.
  • Candidates must possess extracurricular accomplishments and inspirational goals.
  • Students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institution of high education in the U.S. (This includes Art Therapy Programs)
  • Students must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Recipient will be required to provide evidence of college acceptance before money is awarded.

Elevate Mental Health Awareness Scholarship General 4/30/2024 500
Requirements:

The Elevate Mental Health Awareness Scholarship is dedicated to Sherise Rosser, a wonderful woman who taught her daughter the power of authenticity, belief, and compassion.

The hope is that the scholarship inspires greater awareness about mental health and fuels innovative solutions that help the millions of people who are suffering.

"When we bring the darkness to light, it will slowly fade."

The scholarship is open to students at any educational level and field of study. The only application requirement is that students have personally experienced challenges with mental health or have had people close to them who have experienced mental health challenges.

Students applying to the scholarship will be required to write an essay about how their experience with mental health has influenced their beliefs, relationships, and career aspirations. While not required, working or volunteering at organizations that increase mental health awareness, provide mental health support, or research mental health solutions will be a plus on student applications.

At Great Clips, we encourage you to show the world what you’re all about. To make it easier, Great Clips, Inc. provides over $100,000 in scholarships to cosmetology and barbering students each year! Eligible students can apply for a scholarship valued up to $5,000. Open all year to apply.

ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship General 4/30/2024 $1,000
Requirements:

The ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship is sponsored by ISL Education Lending, a national nonprofit organization committed to helping students attending college obtain the resources needed to succeed. This scholarship awards ten $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors residing in Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota or Wisconsin. Recipients are randomly drawn from among all eligible entries.

The ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship is open to high school seniors, and parents of students, who are:

  • Legal U.S. residents.
  • Residents of Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota or Wisconsin.
  • Planning to attend, physically or virtually, an eligible college the fall following the registration dates.

There are no financial need, minimum grade point average or class rank requirements for the ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship.
