I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Samantha Fell and I am the Elementary School Counselor in the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District. This is my first year with the district, and to be part of a caring school district and a supportive community for your child.
I was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. I have lived in a many places through-out Illinois, Wisconsin, and Texas. I have a background in Financial aid at different colleges in Illinois. During my undergraduate degree I worked as a preschool teacher for a daycare and knew at that time I wanted to work with younger students. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I moved to Madison Wisconsin and started my graduate work in School Counseling. I am excited to be here at the P-EASD and cannot wait to see what this year has in store for your child(ren).
As a School Counselor, my main responsibility is to promote the personal, academic and social development of all students. In order to do this, I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, as well as teaching weekly guidance lessons in the classroom. In order to meet the needs of all students I will be collaborating with teachers and staff at both Palmyra Elementary and Eagle Elementary schools. If you DO NOT want your child to participate in small group or individual counseling, please contact the school in writing.
I encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child. I am here to support the students and help them achieve their personal, social and academic goals. Furthermore, I am available to support you and teachers as needed. If you would like for me to meet with your child, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I am thrilled to be here in the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District and look forward to getting to know you and your child!
