I have been with the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District since the fall of 2013. Before serving as the middle/high School Counselor, I worked as the School Counselor for both Palmyra Elementary and Eagle Elementary School. I have Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I also hold a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
At the high school level, I greatly enjoy helping kids plan what classes to take in order to help them reach their career or college goals after graduation. Through individual and small group counseling, I like to help young people overcome personal challenges, solve problems, build confidence and develop healthy relationships. I desire to come along side all students to help them become responsible, self-motivated community citizens that have the ability to achieve happiness and success in whatever they choose to do.
I enjoy working in the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District for a variety of reasons. The faculty, staff and administration constantly work together to create an environment that fosters personal and academic growth both inside and outside the classroom. I also enjoy the relationships that I have seen develop among students and staff and the level of trust that follows.
Outside of my work at PEASD, I enjoy spending time exploring the great outdoors with my husband and dog. Specifically, we enjoy hiking, exploring local nature trails and camping.
