Math 24 is a mathmetical card game in which the objective is to find a way to manipulate four integers so that the end result is 24. The club meets weekly after school to play and practice. In the spring, the top 3 students from grades 4-6 compete in a regional tournament.
Students will learn science, logic, programing and engineering all while having fun. The club meets every other Tuesday after school in the Makerspace.
Battle of the Books
Students form teams and read from a list of 25 books over the course of 7 months. Monthly meetings take place, generally during school hours. The students then have competitions amongst teams in their own school before a final battle and subsequent celebration takes place between the schools in spring.
Students practice weekly during their lunch recess for the all school Spelling Bee Competition. The top three students in grades 2-6 compete in the competition.
S.T.A.R.S (Students Together Accomplishing Real Stuff)
The club will plan and organize school and community based activities for the student body to participate in, similar to a student council organization. Students will meet monthly after school.
Students work together to create a school newspaper highlighting important school events. They meet during their lunch recess on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
An after school club designed to give students extra support with completing their homework responsibilities.
