The Palmyra-Eagle Area School District is pleased to release a new promotional video created as a collaborative effort with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The marketing piece will be utilized in a variety of capacities for the district including: new family orientations, realtor open houses, links on the district website and social media accounts and more. The district would like to thank all students, staff, parents and most especially our producer, Kyle Winter, a graduating communications major at UW-Whitewater and his professor, Dr. Amal Ibrahim, for the contributions made to this endeavor.
The Jefferson County Daily Union is offering families an opportunity to congratulate their high school graduate with a 1/8 page color ad in the Wednesday, May 31st publication of the paper. The cost is $30 and reservations need to be in by May 12th. Please call 920-563-5553 to reserve space.
Palmyra-Eagle High School's Prom will be held on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm in the Clausing Barn at Old World Wisconsin. Individual tickets are $30 and couples $50. There is a free driver training program for teenagers with a learner’s permit or a driver’s license being held at Miller Park on May 20th & May 21st. This program was developed in 2003 in order to address the #1 leading cause of death among teenagers in the U.S. - vehicle crashes.
Training will help teens improve their skills in hazard recognition, vehicle handling, speed and space management, braking and stopping distances, reaction time and how to avoid the dangers of distracted and impaired driving. This course is intended for teens to learn these skills in a safe environment with professional instructors sitting right next to them. Again, there is no cost to attend this event. The Palmyra-Eagle FFA and FFA Alumni are sponsoring a breakfast for the families of Kelly McConahay and Dennis Clark on Sunday, April 30th from 7:00 - 12:00 noon. Tickets will be available at the High/Middle School office starting the week of April 17th. The Palmyra-Eagle Panthers will be participating for the second year in the Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign. Beautiful Lengths is a national program that partners with schools and businesses to collect hair and monetary donations in order to create wigs for women who have lost their hair due to aggressive cancer treatments. This year, the assembly will be held on Friday, May 12th at 7:40 am in the Palmyra-Eagle Middle School gymnasium.
