Please find this update to the incident which occurred at Eagle Elementary School on Thursday, July 13th. Presently, an investigation into the source and cause of the fire is still pending. No conclusions have been reached at this time. Recovery and restoration efforts have continued under the direction of Kelmann Restoration. There remain six (6) days until the school district is granted occupancy to the building. At this time, school will open for students on the first day of the new school year which is Tuesday, September 5th.
Some of the milestones completed recently include the following:

Please find several photographs attached to this communication to show how much has been done to ready the school for staff members and students. Like the mythological Phoenix, Eagle Elementary School has risen from the ashes. You will all be amazed at the transformation of the school. It is a healthier, cleaner, brighter and more welcoming environment than it has been since the day the school was opened.
We are on schedule to take occupancy of the school for teachers to begin setting up their classrooms beginning on August 29th. Thirteen (13) days remain until students return for the first day of classes on Tuesday, September 5th.
The Eagle Elementary Open House has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 5th from 3:30-5:30 PM. The new Open House date ensures that staff members will have the time needed to have their classrooms prepared for a successful start to the 2017-2018 school year.
Your continued patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Dr. Steven M. Bloom, District Administrator
